Symposium: Players as Producers

Jeremiah Diephuis presented a talk entitled “Co-located Gaming and The Value of Play” at the “Players as Producers” symposium at the University of Art and Design in Linz on November 15th, 2016. The symposium explored concepts of “productive games”, or game systems that allow players to produce content, artifacts and/or performances. Jeremiah’s talk examined the social value of playing together and addressed some of the inherent challenges in creating games that employ new technologies to facilitate communication and collaboration.
